Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has announced they will be hearing arguments April 22nd on Mr. Trump’s claim of immunity for all his criminal cases. The former President said the office would not function if the President didn’t have the right to do anything necessary in the discharge of his office – even illegal ones. Can you imagine if Lyndon Johnson didn’t have immunity to wage the Vietnam War? He would have been thrown in jail! Or Richard Nixon in the Watergate break-in; he would have been criminally charged – oh, he was! It seems like anything a President does for the good of the country is protected and anything for the good of the person is not. That makes sense.

Gaza News

Gaza Retribution Continues

The latest is the slaughter of 100 Palestinians when aid trucks appeared somewhere in Gaza and the people surged towards them. The IDF says they fired warning shots to quell the panic and that the deaths were due to trampling of participants. The drone pictures support the story because it shows many people rushing to the aid trucks; crowds can kill. But an investigation will determine if the warning shots were fired up or towards the crowd. President Biden stated that the negotiations for a cease fire may be impacted adversely (duh!). As always, the original incident that was the impetus for the attack on Hamas in Gaza, was awful. But so is the murder of 30,000 Palestinians. Can a Jewish person explain the reasoning behind the continued onslaught?
